U.S. Army clamping down on soldiers’ blogs

The U.S. Army is tightening restrictions on soldiers’ blogs and other Web site postings to ensure sensitive information about military operations does not make it onto public forums.

This is not just a problem for the U.S. Army. Many organizations are struggling to find a balance between being open and not allowing secrets out.

However, despite such challenges, the power a reach of blogging continues to grow. Elite economists, such as Dani Rodrik and Greg Mankiw of Harvard are using blogs to reach outside the ivory tower.
